how much was the g1 when it first came out? Adjusted for inflation, how much would it cost today?

I bought the almost complete set (except Hologon) new in Hong Kong for around US$3,000 at its first release in 1996(?) with the orginal Contax G1 brochure. Sold the same set with a Hologon for only US2,600 in late 2009. No more electronic camera!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
