Orion -15 28mm for Kiev / Contax

Don;t forget the 16% tax!

I'm working in Berlin right now, enjoying it hugely but I CANNOT believe the prices I'm seeing for used cameras and lenses in s/h shops. There's an obvious recession compared to London, and some retailers seem to respond by putting their prices up. Meanwhile the stock is covered in dust and the shops are empty.

Ahhh, yes. Yet another fine seller on the Bay, driven amuck by believing his own advertising... it's either that or the whacky weed.

I still reckon Berlin prices are better than those in Holland. :) New gear is priced to the limit but second-hand gear is just as expensive. And trade-in prices are nearly zero. Some time ago I asked what I'd get back for my Eos 3000. 30 euro, but only if I'd bought a new Canon dSLR with it. Otherwise they wouldn't even want it if I paid them. Yet, buying a second-hand Eos 3000 could cost you 100 euro. Stinkers! :)

And, for that price, it's not even mint.

They can't be THAT rare. The serial number shows there were more than 500 made in 1971.

On the rare occasions that they have appeared on sale in the UK over the last couple of years, they've been around the £200 mark. I picked one up for £150 which I thought was a bit overpriced, even when he rarity is taken into account but despite poor mechanics, it's optically very good.
