Orion-15 on Bessa

The Orion 15 should be no problem. It's the J12 and the Russar that protrude deep into the body. I have used the Orion 15 on my Leica CL and M5 without a problem, so it shouldn't be an issue on a Bessa.

I second roland,

Used it on my Bessa for half a year now and it worked very nice! The rear element doesn´t protrude into the body at all. (maybe Stephen ment the Russar 20?)

It´s coupled too! btw

It also hasn't gotten the same great reviews that the VC/ CV lenses have. I briefly thought about one, then changed my mind. Mr. K has the best two.

It's a good lens. Just hard to justify a maximum stop of f/6 when so many f/3.5s are available, typically for the same money or less.

I serviced one of these a couple of months ago. It is not a bad lens though rather slow at F6. It doesn't really come in till F8 and it is best to use at F11 or smaller. Due to the perceived "rarity" of the lens they tend not to cost much less than the CV lenses. Fedka has one but wants $249 for it. The going rate for the Soviet sellers seem to be about $175-$200. IMHO, $285 for a new CV F3.5 lens from Cameraquest is a much better deal.
