It was the grain in Orwo N74 that was the original impetus in me starting to use PMK. Since then, it's become my favourite developer for all my pulled films.

The replacement N75 looks to be pretty much the same, their distribution is strange - they have a single photographer in the UK who does it from his house, and just orders the film to be sent from the factory to customer. Try their head office as they don't list a distributor for Australia.

What I love about the film is as much about its history. It is the great Agfa plant at Wolfen, an entire town in size, that prewar made all the film for movies. Post war, as it was in the East, trademark ownership disputes stopped them using the Agfa name, and it was renamed Orwo - Original Wolfen.

It develops beautifully into very flat negatives. A nice film indeed, and at bulk prices, very very competitively priced. It doesn't push well though, although for those who like grain, that's no bad thing. I always treat it like HP5+ in developing times.
