I'm looking for a new medium format kit.... now, I'm thinking of a Crown Graphic with a roll film back OR... I've got my eye on a Kiev 88 kit that Oleg has.
Any ideas/comments?

Thanks.... what I'm really hoping from this thread is perhaps some experience from both types of camera, to get an idea of what I'd like.

Let me know how you get on with the Kiev 88. I plan on buying one if I can get some positive responses about them!

And when you handle it, you best confirm whether it really is like carrying a baby-sized rock.

Why not an Iskra ?

I have a new one myself. It works quite well. I purchased mine from Mike at KievCamera here in the USA. He has a web site, http://www.kievcamera.com/
however, if you call him on the telephone, he can make you a better deal usually, than the prices on his website. The good thing about buying from Kievcamera is that if you have a problem, he will exchange the camera for you, and since he keeps stock here in the USA there is no long delay.

I have lots of lenses, Kiev, Hartblei and Pentacon (Zeiss), extra magazines, polaroid back, prism viewfinder, flash bracket, extension tubes, etc., and you can't beat the cost/performance ratio of this equipment.

I don't post images from this camera here, because it is not a rangefinder camera.

I agree with phototone, I have had mine for few months now and have run well over 30 rolls of film through it wit not one bit of a problem, picture quality is first rate with both my 80mm and 65 mm lens.
I have the TTL prism but like to use the waist lever finder and also have a 2X extender which has not reduce the quailty.
Some people have had trouble with there's but mine has been first rate with me.
I purchased mine on E-bay from a sell here in the states, came with 2 magazines, waist level finder, TTL, mag. finder, lens shade, filters for both the 65 and 80 mm lens, case for 65mm lens plus instruction book in english.
As phototone I also don't post for the same reasons.
