OT: Looking for TLR - any suggestions

For a very tight budget, just for trying out may I suggest a Lubitel 166? 20 to 30 dollars should get you one. Lens Industar with 75mm/4.5

They are actually quite cool cameras, only I find focusing a bit difficult.

Me too. I've gotten used to it, but it is a bit squinty. I'm half-tempted to make a proper ground glass for it, but that would take some of the fun out of using the camera 🙂. It's certainly a light camera to carry and has a much better lens than you would expect, wonderful camera for travel. Mine has taken very nice photos, although I always wonder if all 12 frames will come out or not. I still haven't ruled out user error on that score, as I tend to forget there is no double-exposure prevention.

Hello,

Sorry to bring up the subject of TLR on RF based forum, but I've seen a lot of people talk about them. After looking through different posts here praising big negatives, I'd like to give it a try.

While looking on evil site, I found whole bunch of Rolleicords as well as Yashikas. Any of you have any experience with these, what would you recommend to someone on a tight budget?

Any input is appreciated.
If you're still looking, run, don't walk, over to sockeye's FS posting: http://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14949
