Good morning all. I'm feeling a little blue this morning, because we're finally having some of the nicest weather all summer (after two weeks of COLD COLD rain), but I no longer have my motorcycle. She's been put away into storage until next summer, because I'm going away travelling. It's been two days, and I miss 'er already!

Wanna cheer me up a little? How about you post some pictures of motorcycles, or just post links to any you have in the gallery. I tried searching for "motorcycle", and only got five pictures back... I know there are a bunch of us here who ride, so show me your stuff.

Thanks!

Nice bike! My gf rides an '85 VF500 (Magna v30), which runs the same engine AFAIK. Those 90-degree V-fours are amazingly smooth. Thanks Brett.

yeah, it was a blast to ride.. very quick and light.. and that V-Four engine was a great design.. I've always wanted to find a nice RC30 (750 race version), but they still sell for about $10k (last I checked)

Here's one of my friend Rick riding alongside the car I was in. I shot it from the passenger seat with my old Pentax Program Plus and 50/1.4. It's a '98 Kawisaki zx-6r. Maybe not the kind of bike you're into, but maybe it'll help cheer things up!

I've continued to support Honda's effort into bikes with perfect primary balance with the purchase of an ST1300 - another of their V-4's. Always loved 'em. RANGEFINDER pictures to follow (digital only, so far)

I understand how you feel. Being unable to go for a ride when the sun shines sucks. For various reasons I decided not to run my XJR1300 this summer and it's been a god-awful experiance. Every time I go into the garage it's sitting there, taunting me. And, as if that's not enough, a friend is garaging his tuned V-Max with me over the summer! :bang:

Sometimes life just isn't fair.

The ST1300 is a very nice bike indeed; I'd like to own something like it, but for only a few dollars more, you could get a very nice BMW, like this one: http://www.bmw.ca/motorrad/overview/model_overview_fs.asp?lang=en&modelId=60&modelName=k1200gt

Thanks for the pics, guys. Keep 'em coming.

Thought about it. Test road one. For the money I got a better bike.

Trust me. Besides, we don't have a combined Guzzi/BMW dealership (unlike the Guzzi/Honda dealership!) where they'd give me $5,000 on my V-11 Sport (that I only paid $9,500 on!)

BMW's never impressed me. From the sewing machine R's to the "fairly reliable" K's. It's no "Leica"/"Bessa" comparison. All bikes in the price range are good. Just some good qualities mean more to me than other good qualities.

Besides, it's a V-4! Where else is one going to find perfect primary balance, along with a growl like that?

🙂

I just think the BMW bikes are hot! I've never actually ridden them. If I had the money, I'd sure as hell shop around before just splashing down the cash.

I always liked the looks of the AMF HD's! It seems that those that made it this long are excellent bikes. I've a picture of what appears to be a brand new one in my gallery. MILES of chrome, and original. A Real Beauty.

This one was completly restored in '98. I was offered $20,000. I turned it down and the bike was stolen less than 2 months later. Theft insurance was so high, in Fl., I did not have any.:-(
