So now that all family has been told (made for a nice Thanksgiving Toast, I'll tell you that).

I can post in public on the intertubes.

My loving KT has graciously agreed to be my wife.

No dates or anything have been set, but it's only been since last Saturday, we havn't really had a chance to think that part through.

I'm happy.

A piece of advice: buy any camera gear you want now.

...and write it into a prenuptial agreement. (oh man, that sounded cynical)

Seriously though, congratulations.

Congratulations. I hope you two are as happy as Frances Schultz and I have been since meeting in May 1981 and marrying in June 1982.

Ignore all the crap about buying cameras. If we could afford it, our next purchase would be a 16-18-21 Tri-Elmar for Frances.

Cheers,

R.

Congratulations and all the best!
Women are better than cameras (I'm excepting misogynists and OCD cases)
Advice? Drop your photography for one year... she doesn't need 'competition' in the first 365 days.

i realize this is a time for celebration for most people on the planet...and i do not wish to convey the sense of dread i feel when marriage is spoken of in polite company...so i will simply say that i wish you and your intended the best that life has to offer.

Congratulations! All the very, very best for you and KT.

BIG congrats to you and yours, rd. Since I imagine she must know something about your interest in photography, I like to think things will go even more swimmingly than they do now. Of course, I'm an optimist in matters like this. :)

(Edit: I didn't vote on this one ecause I couldn't decide. Sweetheart and me have been together for just over a decade, although we haven't tied the knot. She's more than tolerated my creative indulgences/impulses, proving it's not impossible.) :)

Don't do it, please I am speaking from experince . . . I am trying to save from years of misery. It is much better to be single and not have to deal with anyone telling you what to do or how to live your life, and forget about buying any more equipment, it's all over. I'm telling you . . . run while you can . . . . I should've followed this advice from my closest friends, who knew better. Now I am stuck like them.

Goodluck otherwise!
