'Miyamoto Musashi' 宮本武蔵 trilogy (1954, '55, '56) were directed Not by Kurosawa Akira but by Inagaki Hiroshi 稻垣浩, i always wonder, what would Kurosawa do if he was the director, he did '7 Samurai'(1954) maybe he needed a rest...in 1957 he directed 'Throne of Blood' 蜘蛛巣城 which of course is another masterpiece...
