out of ALL the gear you have ever owned...

Yap, paint sometimes distructs me, My skin is very oily (wet) which means my hands are constatly sweating, so all time I see my finger prints :D
It is not hard to set iso speed, but sometimes when you are in a hurry you might forget (I have forgot)

Another "Not a RF", I'd choose my Rolleiflex 3.5, and a Weston Master meter to go with it. No batteries required, and the 6X6 negative is great.

Of course if it's Heaven, there would be all the film and batteries we ever need (not to be sacrilegious).

Defiantly an OM1 with a 35 f2 Zuiko…………
or M2 and cv35 f2.5
or Rolleiflex with f3.5 Tessa, love that lens,

actually I may need to get something special for the trip

the M8 is out of the question way too much IR about where I’m going!!

Crown Graphic (or Busch Pressman D) with the 135mm Schneider Xenar in a syncro compur shutter.. I find the Graphic to be one of the most versatile cameras ever made.

As for the lens... The 135 is just slightly wide, similar to what a 40mm would be in 35mm format ... stopped down the Xenar is very sharp for when you want to record detail, open it up and it is sharp in the middle and just slightly creamy soft at the edges., giving you a great perspective for portraits

M6 Classic and my 50mm Summicron (last pre-asph. ver.). Of course the casket would be full of HP5+ as well.

bob,
i sometimes think the same thing.
one camera and a 35mm lens and i could be very happy.

Yes, I know at some point down the road it will come to that, all will have to go (on RFF of course). In the meantime I am lucky to have what I do and use it and enjoy it. But the simplicity and built-in tradition of that M6 (or MP) with the 35 is wonderful.

I think it would have to be black M5 and the 50 Lux ASPH, with the Luigi half case and strap.

It just feels SOOOOOO GOOOOOD!!!!!!!

I keep throwing other lenses on the M5 and always seem to end up with the 50 Lux ASPH for most of the keepers.

Leica M3, rigid Summicron 50/2, because it's the best camera I have, because I take my best photos with it, and because it was my father's.

Not a rangefinder, unfortunately. Nikkormat FTn with the nikkor 43-86 zoom. It's the most solid camera I've ever held, and it was my father's.

Rangefinder Konica Auto S2 its almost bullitproof, SLR Pentax 1000 i sold and wish I still had. Both are just simple cameras that take incredible pictures. The lens I had on pentax I dont remember the details but its the one that comes with it new.

I recall you telling about the background of your camera and shortly talking about your father and even posting a couple photos of him. Very touching, and I am glad that you are proud of his legacy... and somewhere above he must be proud of you, too...

*feels emotional....*

Pentax KX. Not the best I have but the most emotional. It was an engagement presnt from my wife 30 years ago.

Hey Wayne: For you, M5 and which Hex?

My goodness. I almost missed this. Thanks for asking!

Nope. I've been giving this some thought. Here's what I came up with. It takes some telling.

Rewind to 1972, + or - a year.
$200 (2 months house payment back then) buys me a Graphic of some kind and a (educated guess) Schneider 127mm lens. OK, that covers the one body & one lens part of joe's question. For the REST of the story...

I filled my VW Beetle that day with 4x5 gear. On the camera side, at least one nifty Graflok 6 sheet back, a 6x9 rollfilm back and a zillion cut film holders. That stuff filled the trunk. The darkroom stuff went inside. I had to fold the seatback down to get the Omega D2 enlarger in. There were stainless tanks and hangers to handle 24 sheets of film at once. Print trays, grain focus thingie, safelights, and anything else needed to process film and prints.

About 2 years later I sold the whole kit and kaboodle for $500. I thought I was a Genius!

:bang: :bang: :bang: :bang:

ps: If I had to choose from my present inventory...

It would be a toss up between my Dad's Konica I or Bigfoot and the 50 DR Summicron.

Or maybe Bigfoot and the 28mm M-Hexanon

I am so glad I don't HAVE to choose!

Here's a photo he took of some annoying screaming child freaking out at Rehoboth Beach with the M3 during the late 1970s.

One camera and one lens - make mine a 50.

I would take my Leica IIIf with the Elmar 50 3.5. I've had this combo for eight months now, and thinking back, it's by far the one I have been using the most. It's so easy to grab while heading outside, weighs next to nothing and performs wonderfully. I've even plunked down some spare change for a small meter (Sekonic L208) to go with it. And some more Tri-X.
