Hey all,
Been a long time reader and poster here. I wanted to share with you all an art project I've spent the greater part of a year creating.

From concept, to design, to fabrication, and filming, I thought it would apply here since I've been a long time rangefinder user and this entire thing was filmed using legacy leica, pentacon six, and m42 lenses all old school manual focus stuff. I figured the industrious spirit of "just doing it" would spark some fuel in my friends here.
For those of us interested in the 'documentary spirit' please share and send this around.
Cheers!
Keep shooting friends! Keep film and these old cameras alive and kicking!

Nicely done, Jonathan. I'm not sure how much of the 'documentary spirit' there is in this art project, but as an political expression in art it works quite nicely for me.
I've sent the link around to various folks I know who might like to see it.

Thanks Godfrey. Yeah, in terms of documentary spirit, I was referring to shedding light on things we may not otherwise see or notice.
There is a wonderful quote by George Orwell that I came across in the film, 'The Lottery of Birth' (on hulu for free right now).
"The opinion that art should have nothing to do with politics is itself a political attitude."
Obviously everyone has their own thoughts but that is what is so beautiful about this world.

A Touch of Light
Art is and always has been political as art reflects the world the artist lives in. Some art is beautiful and other art is disturbing. It's unfortunate we live in a time when pieces like this are created as it is a testament to the disturbing times we live in. It's a poignant piece and is affective at delivering a message most people are unaware or refuse to acknowledge. Well done. I hope this piece is able to find venues willing to share this with the greater public for a long time to come.

Thin Air, Bright Sun
Nice piece conceptually and in execution (no pun intended).
Since we're a bunch of camera geeks, what camera did the video recording? I'm guessing GH4.

Thought provoking. Authomatic delivered death. The content in the receipt description illustrates the facts. The violence is shown without showing it explicitly. The one who delivers the violence is absent, he remove himself from responsibility.

Very clever installation, brilliant idea. Took a lot of work and skill to make that happen.

Thanks everyone for all the kind words. It really means a lot.
Joe,
The camera was an A7S actually. Used four lenses. Leica 35mm Summicron IV, CV 28mm 1.8, Helios 44M (50mm 1.8), and Zeiss Jena Biometar (80mm 2.8) for everything.
