I just finished overhauling one of my electro 35's today. It started out as just replacing the POD but turned into unsoldering all those wires and CLAing the shutter. While I was at it, I cleaned and lubed the transport mechanism also.
The old girl is back up and running though so I must have done something right. However I wouldn't recommend it to the faint of heart.:bang:

Well done, I've been trying to locate a repair manual before tackling a GT in need of help but have just picked up a very sorry looking GS that I plan to work through before the GT.

I had to do that a little while ago- The pad between the first and second shutter release triggers had deteriorated to muck - I had to make one out of many layers of electrical tape, carved down! Good to hear that you've gotten another one of these nice cameras running again.

cool

Let me know if you want a working GSN cheap with intermittent deck up/down exposure lights (loose wires?). I purchased from a fellow RFF'er who kind of forgot to mention that quirk :bang:

I made mine from a piece of neoprene per yashica-guys specs. It took awhile to get it worked down to the specified thickness but it does work good.

I'm still popping blood pressure pills from this experience...
