The OVF framelines in my xp1 are quite dim when I use non fuji lenses on an adapter.
Last night I was out with the planar 50mm on a Fotodiox M adapter.
I set the framelines to 50mm and noticed dimming straight away.
When using the 35mm fuji lens in manual it is much brighter.
Does the Fuji M adapter solve this issue? Anyone else notice this?

I'm loving being able to magnify the image for focus and then easily switch back to OVF when shooting with the Planar50. The lens is a gem on this Camera. What a treat!

When you're in the EVF. press Q and set the illumination level to your desired level, exit Q, then switch from EVF to OVF. That will change the brightness level of the brightlines for your adapted lenses (provided you're using a Fuji adapter).

Thanks Jon

I think my non fuji adapter is the problem. I did not notice this until today.

Edit..

Got it! Thanks!
Mounting the adapter and setting the FL's to 50mm re-set the brightness setting from when the 35mm lens was mounted.

Indeed, you non-native adapter is the problem. With the Fuji M mount adapter, which is very costly, there is a button on the side which will call up the lens you are using if you have programmed it into the menu. That is why it is so costly. I use Fotodiox adapters also for none M mount lenses and I put up with the inconvenience. For my many m mount (Leica) lenses, the Fuji adapter works great.
