ovf question

in the standard mode view of the ovf...can i add just the histogram to it?

The last item on page 4 of the shooting menu is disp. custom setting. It allows you to choose the stuff you want displayed. OVF and EVF each have their own custom settings.

You lens hood should be there soon. I got a call Thursday (Victoria BC) that mine had just arrived.

Along with Glenn2's advice, set OVF Power Save mode to off.

not sure what i'm doing wrong but this is not working for me...and willie , i have the power save mode off too...

very frustrating...i have only the histogram checked and i cannot get it to appear in the finder...

Joe,

The disp/back button cycles through the display modes - you have to set it to custom. It is set to standard by default.

Ok Joe - here's how it works on mine...

Go to DISP. CUSTOM SETTINGS
Select OVF
Check the settings you want i.e. HISTOGRAM
Exit from the Menu
When looking through the OVF press the DISP BACK button and you should see the display in the OVF change

Agreed. I should have made it clear that you have to be looking through the OVF.
