Not sure how many P-2000 Users are here but for those that are. some news
I don't know why but it has been very hard :bang: to get spare batteries but finaly they seem to have arrived!
In Japan they are selling for 6,500 yen about 36 pounds or about 58 US$
Don't ask me why the box is so large??
There is finally a purpose made screen protector for the P-2000
This is selling for 1,000 yen, about 5.50 pounds or about 9US$

Hi, Mike, thanks for posting about these. I got a spare battery from the Epson USA store -- they seem to go in and out of stock, like the P-2000 itself.
I also was amused by the unnecessarily large box. I guess they felt that when paying $58 for a battery, you would expect a substantial box...? Or maybe they needed the extra room for the elegant little black velour pouch that is supplied with the battery!
The screen protector seems like a sensible idea. I hope these will become available in the US. I take it that this is a third-party product, not one sold by Epson...?

Just returned from a trip to Africa. A spare battery for the P2000 would have been great since the recharge time at 220 v was really slow.

The Screen Protector is made by Kenko, They probably produce screen protectors for 100+ different Cameras/Viewers/Gadgets.
