Good catch on the focal length!

34mm lens just may be the threshold between normal wide and super wide 😕 or it's just the Ricoh company being it's innovative self ???

i enjoy this thread too. seems to me, that in the p&s and scale focusing section much more innovative, outstanding and often funny designs can be found, than in the more expensive and therefore conservative slr and rf area.

I just finished a roll but the machine at my local Shoppers is on the fritz. I expect to get it back after the weekend. I picked it up for $3 at Value village so I hope it works.

Cameos are nice little cameras. The Zoom model is not so little . . .

Aperture: f/8 @ 25mm, f/11 @ 50mm

The front lens element is actually concave.
 
They're odd little cameras, but I like the idea of everything being protected inside when it's floating around in my pocket.

25mm on the wide end sounds pretty nice.
 
Also the Cameo design puts the flash farther away from the lens for what may be less "red-eye". I have yet to prove my theory. I need to finish film in half a dozen other cameras 😱
 
Cameo with 25-50 looks like boy, imitating his dad - Tokina 25-50/4 zoom 🙂 Such a wonderful focal length.

this P&S has a scale focus indicator on the FRONT of the camera,
you can check your focus AFTER you shot the picture
or
your subject can remind you: "hey, you forget to FOCUS!!!"

speaking of good design ;D
