Package from the post office....

UPS just left another sticker on the front entrance-and I'm in my office keeping an eye out for them! What idiots! And for these screw-ups I'm paying more!

It's good to see you recived what you spected Remy.
I'm also waiting for wlewisii Yashica Electro 35.
I hope I recieve it soon.

I'm waiting for a Fed-3 from Alex, a Fed-5, a broken Zorki-5 (I bought it for the lens) and a Kiev-4a with a Jupiter-12. I hope some of these will arrive when my wife isn't home...

Why is it wifes dont understand the importance of this parcels coming in?
Lucky the youngers without children, enjoy your moment.

Listen to the voice of experience all ye married guys, delivery of these parcels to your place of work is the answer! Well, the real answer is to explain everything and have your wife understand, but sometimes that is an unrealistic/unfulfilled expectation. And many of us know about unrealistic/unfulfilled expectations!

Can I just say here that I wish it wasn't night time already?! I wanna check out the J3 and the J8! I wish I could go to work already. 😛

Frank that is very good advice. The problem is where do I put the cameras, at rate of 2 or 3 by month?
I have to asume my disease, tell her and stand the storm.

For now my wife puts up with my photographic craze, maybe because I let her buy things as well. This way we both don't need to feel guilty we didn't buy anything for the other as well. She just went to Beijing for three days to collect the visa for Holland and bought herself some clothes; I got myself a bunch of lenses and the Eos 300D. Out of balance? Well, in my defence, I buy lingerie, perfume and jewelry for her quite regularly, even when it's not her birthday or our anniversary. 😛 For now I'm confident I can let the mailman deliver at our door.

It's not a bribe! Really! Well, maybe it is, unconsciously. But she ain't the enemy; UPS and the like are. 😛

RML, about the lubing question - you DO know about roskam optics, don't you? (www.roskamoptics.nl i think)

OTOH, i'd gladly do it for you - i love to tinker w such stuff and have necessary tools here at the University, but it would be my very first russian "patient" therefore i would not take any kind of responsability...

I am waiting for stuff as well. It's coming from overseas so i have no idea when it will be here.
It should contain a way cool gadget bag, filled with 6 kilograms of rangefinders 🙂
In detail, two canonet ql17 Giii 's, one minolta hi-matic 9, two kodak pony 135's, one voigtlander vitomatic iib - and a "regula sprintomatic"(whatever that would be). Package described as "some of the cameras work some not" 😀

Plenty of stuff to tinker with, i guess.

Pherdinand, I can send you my second, silver J8. I'm not using it because it's stiff (I checked it yesterday and it seems to be stuck nowadays). You can operate on this patient with impunity if you want. Then, when you're more comfortable with Russian patients, I can send you the J3, and perhaps the J9 as well. 🙂

Been waiting more than a month for a Welta Weltini. The seller says she is sorry she sent it to the wrong person. I might feel better if I got that person's package. If it isn't there by tonight or tomorrow at the latest, I'm afraid she isn't going to like the feedback. But I really want that camera. A Welta 35mm RF. 🙁

Roman, is that one of the Fujica Porsts? I think Fujica made many of their bayonet mount cameras branded as Porsts. You may at least get a good lens with it if you have some of the Fujicas to put it on. What doesn't work about it?

Pherdi, I deleted some pm's. There should be enough space again now. 🙂

I always thought dogs are waiting for the mailman!

Is he expecting an illegal shipment of catnip? 😛

Lovely cat, OldProf.
