alternate title: I can't believe it's all in the bag!

So, this weekend is a car trip with my family to visit with my mother and father. I've jsut finished packing my Domke 803 satchel bag, and I've got to say I'm mighty impressed with this bag's carrying capacity. Please keep in mind that I'm not going to be walking long distances with this load on my shoulder! Contents:

Hexar RF with Canon 28 f3.5, B+W 400
M6 with CV40 f1.4, B+W 400
M5 with CV 50 f2.5 B+W 400
M2 with Summaron 35 f3.5, colour neg 100
Elmar 90 f4
Fuji folder GS645, B+W 400
3,4 more rolls of each film
Seconic 308 lightmeter

Anyone else packing for a Thanksgiving visit?

Still got quite a ways until thanksgiving, Frank. :)

I'll be driving 13 hours back home in about 5-6 weeks. I'll be taking just a few of my cameras, laptop and my external hard drives.

Gotta work on some portfolio work for my visual effects demo reel, and then inbetween I'll be doing some 120 and 135 B&W photography.

Wow Frank.... quite the set up for this upcoming holiday... keep the doors locked & the bag hidden!
Happy Thanksgiving.

Wow. I feel so insincere now. So sorry guys. :\ Not only am I uncultured... but... hehe

Best wishes to all of our Canadian RFFers this holiday season then! :)

Staying in town for thanksgiving, but leaving for Toronto and Rochester for the LHSA annual meeting on wednesday.
kit will probably be a MP, a M2 and the R4M with 18f4 Distagon (provided I can get it from Canadian Custom in time on Tuesday), 21 Biogon f4.5 and either a 40f1.4 or the 35/2 Biogon and the C Sonnar 50mm f1,5 and the 75mm f2 Summicron. About 20 rolls of Tri X and 5 or 10 rolls of Acros, the latter depending on the weather forecast1. Our travel rule is: if it cant go into a smallish shoulder bag and the camera bag, it will not came along.

i feel pretty meagre in this company. my little *film* bag is usually just an M4 or M7 and 1-2 lenses from the stable (35/1.7, 50/2.8 or 1.4, 75/2, 90/2.8), usually a 35 or 50 and the 90, and then the film. if i have to think too hard about it, then i take just the one camera and only one lens.

happy thanksgiving to all in canada!

No worries jbf, thanks. ThomasW, yes there's a lot to be thankful for. TomA, I should mention that my M6 is wearing the rapid winder that you so generously donated to last Spring's Montreal RFF get together! (Raffle was won by Nancy Somecanuckchick, and passed on to me.)

Thanks Mike. An M4 and M7 sound like a great pair of cameras for carrying B+W and colour film. B+W jsut because, and colour for the fall folliage.
