I'm not sure if it's me alone , but pages that have many pictures are
taking quite some time to load . Is there any way that these pages could
be broken down sooner to allow faster loading ? A good example is the 6x9 photos only.

If you go to your User CP (Control Panel), select Edit Options from the list, about half way down the page under Thread Display Options you can set Number of Posts to Show per Page. I just tested it and it seems to work.

The problem is that it isn't consistent. Only some picture rich pages go on forever.

Yep, I hear ya.

I think the Admin may have the option to adjust the maximum number of images that can be attached to a post. Probably the same for maximum image size.

Users CAN choose to not show images, and instead see links. I'm not sure that would yield a very satisfying experience. And as mentioned, the users have the option to limit the number of posts per page.

I don't think vBulletin, or maybe any bulletin board software, has the ability to split pages based on pixels or some other measure of length other than number of posts.

I could be wrong.
