THE WAILING CAMERA

We have overhauled and custom-painted the lenses and bodies of antique cameras (restoration work)
such as LEIKA, NIKON, CANON, MINOLTA, and PENTAX, among others. We have also used our special
coating technique for the bodies of cameras such as LEIKA, NIKON, and others, which we sell.

I'll be using a thinned 2-part oven-cured polymer normally used for firearms and small machine parts. This will be the first time I've tried it on a camera, and also the first time I've tried it on brass, which could be a challenge. Should be an interesting experiment.

Didn't end up black (sorry) but the finish is holding up fine so far. Time will tell.

Does anyone know if Shintaro is still doing re-paints? I have heard he can take a while to get the job done and the camera returned?

Does anyone have a current email address too?

Thanks

Simon

By his own admission he can take up to 3 years. I have a BP M2 and my advice to anyone wanting a black M2 is to just live with a silver one or buy an originally black painted camera because it never looks right.
