Paints for repainting my beater Leica M3 black

Hello, all.
Just one question. What paint, available somewhere, is going to closest to matching the black paint used on the Leica M3. I am especially interested as this pertains to the edge of the back door. I am currently aware of the detailed process needed to dechrome and dezinc the body down to the original brass so I don't need feedback on that hear.

Just, which black paint, or combination of paints (brand, formulation) can be purchased on the market today to best match the original. This will be airbrushed on and baked on in a dust free area.
 
I touched my first 105 2.5 Nikon that had a beat up nose. Appliance satin black.

Color matched the rest of the lens.

You will have trouble because todays paints are not durable, EPA regulations.

The appliance paint job was 10 years ago. When finished, cover with car wax.

You can get small quantities of real black lacquer as repair paint for cars.

You need matte crinkle heat resistant automotive paint

To match that crinkle finish on the frames of the camera on either side of the door, you need black matte crinkle finish paint that is heat resistant, and made for engine compartments. They are sold through autoparts stores.

Spray some into a small aluminum pan (like a cupcake size), then use a brush to apply. Depending on the ambient temperature and humidity, the crinkle will be larger or smaller. I think at lower temperatures, and higher humidity, you get larger crinkles. Apply, let it crinkle slightly, then apply a second layer. You need to let it dry undisturbed for several DAYS.
