Panasonic Lens serial numbers?

Just noticed my 20mm lens has no numbers! Most unusual.
Do the other Panny lenses have serial numbers?

My 20mm has the serial number, as does the 7-14.

It's strange they are engraved(tiny!) on plastic - makes it easier to sand/buff off. It should have been painted on the lens front along with the other lens info.
