I don't need absolute picture quality , large sensors or too dense a pixel count .
Neither do I need dust on the sensor !

I tend to shoot with a nom 50mm on the M8 , a nom 52-120 Minolta zoom and 35mm F1.8 on the Sony A35.
I am also impressed with my cheap ' notebook ' camera - Fuji XF 1 , 1" sensor with 25-100 equ lens .

The LX-100 impresses because it covers most of my requirements with a fast, fixed lens optimised for the camera and sensor .

I can't afford it , so would wait for the next model and buy used , I love the compact rangefinder style , similar to my Panasonic L1 and wonder if anyone has any thoughts on this unusual camera ?

OOPs Misprint - not LX1 dee

I'll presume that you're referring to the LX100, rather than the L1 (slightly ambiguous). Having obtained an LX100 about three weeks ago, I am FAR more impressed with it than I expected to be. I find it a very pleasing camera to use. Great handling, excellent IQ, small, light, and... yes, FUN!

In summary... if you want one, I would just go for it!🙂 (Disclaimer: When funds allow, of course! I'm not advocating reckless expenditure...:angel🙂

Love my lx100. It has mainly replaced my Fuji x100 and Sony rx100mk1..

While it is does not have the iq of my Fuji xt1 or sigma foveon or Sony a7 cameras, I really like the results I get w/ this camera. I originally bought it as a vacation camera, but it is such a fun camera, that I use it a lot.
