Bob, thanks for posting. I'm sure we all concur and have wanted to say the same things for a very long time. RFF is like no other place on the planet and we want it to stay that way. Thanks to all here.

i have been looking for this thread all night!
caught it earlier but had no time to reply.

bob, this was a very classy thread and i wanted to publicly thank you for posting it!

throughout all the years that i have been a member/mod here the one thing that keeps me coming back is some of the finest folks out here in cyber space.

for you all, i am thankful...

Have a terrific Thanksgiving Bob and to all my RFF friends.

And Bob...make sure one of the shelf queens makes an appearance tomorrow for some holiday shooting! I'm breaking out one of my favs :)

Aside from the obvious gratitude I feel for the generosity of the members who contributed to an X100 that came my way and is now in Paul's hands there's many other reasons to be thankful for this place.

Jonmanjiro found a mint used F6 in a Tokyo camera store and went to the trouble of letting me know ... and offered to procure it and send it my way. Before doing this he fiitted a better focusing screen for me, had the camera checked by Nikon then despatched it via EMS to me in Oz before actually receiving the money from me. To do all this for someone on the other side of the world you have never met is pretty amazing stuff ... but also typical of some of the exraordinary generosity that I have encountered in my time here!

The human spirit in it's finest form abounds here aplenty IMO. :)

Wholeheartedly agree, I have been a bit quiet here of late but then I have been so busy but the generosity and friendliness here is quite something else. I don't belong to too many internet forums, in fact very few.

But I have had a very kind loan of an OM2SP (Thanks Gid) before I went to Tuscany this year, marvellous advice, but most of all wonderful wonderful support for my little publishing folly. Without the latter, I would not be where I am today which is with books on a few shelves and a front room that looks like the final scene of raiders of the lost ark.... :)
