Bob, thanks for posting. I'm sure we all concur and have wanted to say the same things for a very long time. RFF is like no other place on the planet and we want it to stay that way. Thanks to all here.

Agreed! Thanks for putting it in words.

The best camera is one that still works!
Aside from the obvious gratitude I feel for the generosity of the members who contributed to an X100 that came my way and is now in Paul's hands there's many other reasons to be thankful for this place.
Jonmanjiro found a mint used F6 in a Tokyo camera store and went to the trouble of letting me know ... and offered to procure it and send it my way. Before doing this he fiitted a better focusing screen for me, had the camera checked by Nikon then despatched it via EMS to me in Oz before actually receiving the money from me. To do all this for someone on the other side of the world you have never met is pretty amazing stuff ... but also typical of some of the exraordinary generosity that I have encountered in my time here!
The human spirit in it's finest form abounds here aplenty IMO.

Wholeheartedly agree, I have been a bit quiet here of late but then I have been so busy but the generosity and friendliness here is quite something else. I don't belong to too many internet forums, in fact very few.
But I have had a very kind loan of an OM2SP (Thanks Gid) before I went to Tuscany this year, marvellous advice, but most of all wonderful wonderful support for my little publishing folly. Without the latter, I would not be where I am today which is with books on a few shelves and a front room that looks like the final scene of raiders of the lost ark....
LOL
