Passion in Photography or how to shoot kids.

Love taking pictures of the kids too. Let them say tongue-breaking words so that they loosen up if that's required.

Enter the school photographer.. Well, my kids know the drill, say something funny and smile, ready to have their picture taken; would you guess this guy gets angry at them? Sure enough pics come out dreadful. What a moron!

Mindboggling to see people like that stay in business though..

Wonderful article. Thanks for sharing.

A wonderful thing about kids is that they also so quickly forget about the camera and return to being themselves.

I recently started letting them have their revenge, letting them take pictures of me. Here's my 6-year-old's view through the S3 with a 25mm lens.

I read Nicoles notes tonight at the following link:

I think this a true photographer and not an accumulator. She does very nice work and I wish she could send me some passion or mojo or what ever!!

There is a certain prejudice that most women shoot kids and dogs and flowers only and indeed it gets partly confirmed by all the many web galleries filled with (best case) mediocre, arbitrary and lifeless amateur kiddie photos, where some ladies demonstrate their hopless lack of seriousness, effort and/or talent.

Nicole has nothing do with this kinda stuff, her photos are really unique, and it is always a real pleasure for me to watch them !
The article proves how well thought her approach to the issue is, she's acquired a lot of knowledge and technique.
Decisive tho is that she must be a very warm hearted and communicative personality, otherwise the results would not look as they do look. The faces of her small clients reflect it, they look relaxed but also "connected" to the photog. Absolutely perfect, her work really earns to be called professional and for me it's clear, she's an real artist.,

Ouhhh, quite a strained facial expression ! 😀 I think I know why, hehe !
Did he drop the S3 or went all fine ? 😀 😀

All went well. She wants to hang it around her neck, but the strap is so long, and she is so short, that it drags the ground! She actually lay down on the grass to take the photo, looking straight up.

We'll I'm not quite ready to give my son my S3 like Vince might but last year I gave him my old Nikon digicam and he came up with some very cool shots. A heck of a lot better than I expected from a 4 year old. I had forgotten what the world looked like from ~3 feet off the ground.
