I have had the PEN F (microscope model) and the two lenses for 5 or 6 years. The lenses both look very clean. The 70 still has the gold import sticker on it. The apertures seem to be a bit slow to return to the full open position after the DOF preview button is released. Both probably need CLA. I think the lenses are suffering from long term storage. I once entertained the idea of using the lenses with my u4/3 cameras, but I already use my CV 75mm lens and don't really have a need for them. I have always been fascinated by the PEN F cameras, but realistically don't have a use for them. Any ideas what to do with these items?

"RFF Classifieds, Here I Come"--that tune comes to mind....Or the Bay, or Gokevincameras, or in your home, Jim's?

The 70 seems to fetch high prices from Pen F-ers wherever it's offered. (I myself have the FT, 50-90, 40 1.4, and 25 2.8.)

I'd love to have the 70: it's equivalent to a 100mm portrait lens. The 38/1.8 is the standard Pen F lens, a true gem. Try a TV CLA: sit on the couch and work both lenses through your favorite show. Let me know if you're going to post either one.

Both lenses and body have moved on to another owner. If I would have had another Pen F body besides the microscope type, I may have kept the lenses. The Pen F cameras and lenses are engineering jewels.

Biomed, I agree. True engineering jewels. Trouble is, while I revere the legacy of Maitani, I find myself shooting his OM-2 over my Pen F, mostly for the bigger neg, and not having to run all the way up to 72 frames before spooling 'em in the can. Pity, really, because I have this longing to take her for a stroll. Years ago, I was given an original double-cock Pen F, with a vintage leather bag and accessories. I then began adding lenses, and bodies. Then I decided to sell all the FTs and focus on my scroll F model. It's a keeper.
