Pen F / M39 Adapter

I just found one of these and am considering buying it. However, I understand that focussing is limited. Anyone have experience?

The Leica thread adapter doesn't work with infinity focus, would be good for close-ups tho. Or, could be used with collapsible lenses to infinity, if one is very careful to prevent the lens from fully collapsing into the mirror chamber.

OK. So, for example, I could focus to, say, 2 meters ok? I tried an adapter for EOS and it could only focus to inches(!)

I don't know how close it would be...I've never used one of these, but they are mentioned in Peter Deckert's Pen F monograph.
