My Pentacon Six shutter is sticking open on 1/125 and a bit randomly elsewhere. In normal times it would go to a specialist in Germany but customs and other rubbish at present leaves me inclined not to.
So anybody here with a Pentacon Six that has been serviced satisfactorily in the UK at a sensible price? I know all the usual names such as Newton Ellis etc, but I wondered if there were any others with experience of these beasties.

They are not so hard to do a little degreasing yourself . 1/125 is the first speed to become problematic due to old sticky grease . I have 3 Pentacons and 2
of them responded to a simple cleaning . There's a couple of photo or video
essays on the practice online . Worth the effort 'cuz the glass is great . Peter

Thanks all. I'll try Mr Pentacon Six, although he no longer lists any UK repairer, but might know.
I'll have a look at the service instruction videos too. My track record is an almost inevitable write off of equipment as a combination of lack of dexterity, patience, eyesight and skill is normally terminal. But it is the glass I want to use.

He did indeed provide an excellent lead, who isn't keen on publicity but is happy to work on the Six and on my Exakta. So a very good result all round - a very good suggestion, thank you!

I have a Praktisix I body which needs new curtains.
Only a few have this experience. Rolph Dieter Baier has retired, I hope that rumor is not true.
