Pentax 67 for Street Photography

This thread makes me feel better as I don't feel like I'm the only one using a RZ670 shooting street. I too found the idea of being 'totally conspicuous' more suitable than trying to 'disappear'. I decided to exploit the ugliness of big *** cameras, and I love it. I just hope I don't go buying a 4x5 or 8x10.

Yeah I don't think you can disappear behind a 4x5 :D but it would probably attract the kind of attention that makes for good shots of people.

Street photography is a numbers game. The more pictures you shoot, the more likely it is that you will have a good one. So you have to factor in how many pictures you can shoot per roll before you need to change film and miss shots, how fast you can change film. Plus, you have to react quickly when something interesting happens spontaneous (no hyper focus on Medium Format).

All these arguments are against medium format for street photography -- but as may have pointed out here, there's a lot of excellent street photography done with MF in the past (think Vivian Maier).
