Wow, I was at the Taj Mahal 2 weeks ago, have seen thousands of photographs of it but never seen one like yours, neat. Btw, do you have a similar fish eye perspective with the dome included?

Wow, I was at the Taj Mahal 2 weeks ago, have seen thousands of photographs of it but never seen one like yours, neat. Btw, do you have a similar fish eye perspective with the dome included?

I tried to visually frame it but there was just too much foreground with the ultrawide and personally I hate to re-take the iconic frames such as Taj Mahal. So I purposefully did not make the pic from the "usual" angles.

I did just one additional angle to look for more "different" version of Taj Mahal:

What a timing, just one curiosity question: did you somehow see how much that Revox A77 reel-to-reel machine costs in the shop? I'm currently looking for a decent R2R deck, got to keep it reel with my own analog recordings you know... 🙂

I have had almost all of the medium format cameras over the years and my favorite by far and the only one I still own is my Pentax 67. Its like shooting a "big 35". Considering it was probably the least expensive of my medium format cameras the image quality is as good as any, excellent. Viewfinder is easy to see and focus even with my old eyes.

I've seen the RSS "B68" plate around, there are a few on KEH if anyone is looking. Looks like a great upgrade from a stock plate. Im interested in the L bracket since I do mostly landscape and want to be able to quickly go vertical without dropping my ballhead into the vertical notch.

The locking mechanism is highly secured but you never know. Finger crossed!

i see you mentioned the Revox RTR they run around $300-450 for that model i have the Revox PR99 that came later bit more exspensive but now have 6 10in RTR long live old school HI FI

PR99 is among the best on Revox trademark as far as I know. A77 is somewhat interesting model since it uses more discreet electronics compared to i.e. B77, so sonically they should be very interesting after re-capped and overhauled. I've been more looking on full-fledged Studer (A80, A807 or A810) and Telefunken (15A) series, a little also on Nagra/Stellavox stereos that are sonically unique in their own ways but all of those are multiple times more expensive. I'll keep my ears up for stuff available. I really miss some "tape magic" on me analog recording workflow 🙂
