Hi All. Although i've been a forum mbr for a while this is my first try at posting to a thread. I guess the push was this incredible thread regarding the amazing Pentax 67.
I've had a Pentax 6x7 since 2006 and recently bought a 67ii. I primarily shoot black and white, process the film at home and scan to computer.
Recently trying stand development with Adox Adonal.

Here is a shot of a NA Harvard engine from the BC Aviation Museum in Sidney, BC Canada.

Well well, try to do that with digital. This is a completely great portrait. I'm sure when the young women is famous she will use this in her CV or bio: perfect.

That is my wife and she will be graduating from nursing school (her 2nd degree) next week.

The exposure on that was 1/125s and f/2.4 with 100 ISO film.
I imagine if I did the same exposure with a digital, there would be a fair amount of blown highlights 🙂

Exactly, and you would have spent much time to 'get it back to right.' I wish her very much luck in her career. I unfortunately, have had too many nurses (in their professional work) in my life and I have to say if it hadn't been for some of them I would be dead: be proud.

Have you set the film at the beginning? The black arrow has to be aligned with the dots before you close the back.

Hi, yes, I sure did. The film advance feels a bit worn out... I hope that can be fixed at some point. Other than that, the camera is awesome. I walked with it a couple miles and the weight is definitely felt after a while. The quality though is unbelievable. Even with a beat-up Epson V500 at 3200dpi I get this:

If only I could find a way to dry the negatives without all that dust sticking to them... Any suggestions? Thanks,

Congrats! Looks like a very clean 6x7. If you loaded correctly and are not getting the full 10th frame check the spacing between frames. If the spacing varies its possible the film roller and its gear assembly are going out.

You might be able to compensate by lining up the leader before the marking.

Easily reparable, Id suggest Eric Hendrickson.

Try to put some alcohol and a few drops of photo flo into the last rinse, which should be done in demineralized water. After hanging, pour the liquid over the negs, and pull them away from vertical for a minute to let the drops slide away along the edge. Hang in the shower box, and make sure, the air is not too dry, and there is no draft. I get negligible amounts of dust on the negs. Maybe your dust sits in the scanner.

Watching the first photo, I'm asking: are you sure your GAS is toward Pentax 6x7?
