hi,
I recently bought a pentax 6x7 with meter. I bought it as parts or repair...
It had the mirror blocked in the middle and not working shutter.
I bought it with the hope to repair eventhought i never had such type of camera before.
So far i simply have pressed the reset button and both mirror and shutter were released! I tried to fire again but the camera ended in the previous position... the camera come togehter with a 6v battery...
I replaced it with 4 silver and magically the camera started to work or better the shutter fire at all speed i would say quite correctly... But the batt check and the meter are dead.
I removed thr batteries and i noticed that they are quite hot...
the batteries are not new, i used them with different cameras... How do u think can be simply a problem of batteries or there is some elettrical trouble?
Contacts look clean.
Another problem, i noticed that the glass of the viewfinder, on the left corner look like a "mirror" i can see myself reflected on it. It is quite strange... It doesn't look like broken or scratched just it give a mirror effect. Like when u put alchool on the lens.
I would like to open it and try to see what is the problem but seem almost impossible to get there without to kill the meter.
