Steve, I think you've nailed it. It will probably take a few generations for the people here to develop a sense of identity and community, i.e. notions that make living in the Midwest such a pleasant experience (e.g. Overland Park in KS). Ok, no more whining... I guess the daily attempts on my life by AZ drivers were starting to get to me... :)
 
Here are a few from the partial roll of Fuji Acros 100, M5, 50 Lux ASPH that I shot with you guys that day.

I think the clown is the scary looking one. Neither the kids, nor parents, seemed to mind me a bit.

We need to do this again soon.

Ray, I really like the clown shot, the kids are very expressive which makes the image come alive for me and the clown's expression I think represents the guy's nature - Mr. Grumpy. Btw, it was fun to see you compose the bike shot and now to see it in its final form, very cool :)

So should we set up another gathering soon after New Year's?
 
I'd be up for it also. We can get some great photos of the snow falling. OOPS we don't have snow. Oh well, some ASU coeds in shorts will work.

More picturesque than coeds in shorts playing in the Arizona snow? Hard to imagine!

A museum would work for me. I've been wanting to take pictures of people in museums...an odd goal perhaps...
 
The Phoenix Art Museum is a good spot Steve - bring a fast lens and a steady hand. A January meet would be good for me.

I guess I'm steady enough, but I don't have any fast lenses...or wide lenses for that matter.
I need more lenses...I need more cameras!
 
Coeds in shorts? On roller blades perhaps? I might get the hell out of Bisbee in January for that. I'll bring my Rolleiflex. Great camera for panning.

Sorry to break this to you, but real men don't shoot 9mm. ;-)

Corbon makes some nice noise makers in .45 though...45 AUTO+P 165 GR. JHP 1250 FPS/573 FTLBS
 
im down this time guys, i would love to go downtown and take some pics...
would love the coeds too but i think my wife will go through the film and be what the hell are these, so no go...

but i love the idea of the Museum, anytime in january is good for me...

C'mon guys, shooting has only one meaning on rff :) Plus gunpower seems to scare the coeds...

I'm just not walking around taking pics of girls young enough to be my daughter...I may want to...but I won't. It's enough that I am a dirty old man, I'm not going to go act the part in public. :angel:
