Maybe I can make this one. I'll keep checking in to see when a firm date is set. Right now a doctor has a hold of my balls through that date.
Really.
And, it's no fun even with warm hands.

My goodness, do all of the women doctors in AZ provide such comfort and handling?
Maybe it's time to consider becoming a full-time AZ'er rather than just PT?
I'm only a PT'er and pretty much tied-down to Tucson and points south and east but will pass along contact info to Steve.

ONe of the partners in my photo co-op is a woman doctor but we don't mix business with, er, pleasure.

Ok,
I've got 9 people on the list so far. That's a good start.
The Scottsdale group "DIG" (Digital Imaging Group) is bringing in George Lepp for an all day presentation in March.
Now, I know it's all going to be DSLR oriented, but George Lepp's work is quite good, so it might be worth attending.
To add a bit of fun to the event, we should all show up wearing a couple of rangefinder cameras. (No M8 Ray! We want to look like a bunch of Ludites and you'll spoil the grove with that thing.)
I plan to attend (if I can get off leash that day). The fee is only $15 for non-members and they expect it will sell out. So if you're interested....

Leica rep at Tempe Camera and at Photomark
Leica rep at Tempe Camera and at Photomark
Steve, I've just confirmed your earlier tip that a Leica rep will be at Tempe Camera Dec 14 starting at 10AM. Photomark will have a Leica rep visit them on Dec 28, from 10AM.
Is anyone planning to go?

Steve, I know the feeling well. I will try to go though, at least on Dec 28. I can't justify another penny on gear (not that I ever could) but those persistent MP+Summilux day dreams are starting to get annoying

Beware of Nick...he just got his MP. Maybe he'll let you hold it. You know what THAT will lead to!

Right! Actually, the only reason I have not broken down yet is - what would I be chasing once I got the MP? Oh, wait, I can think of one - Pentax LX2000

Restaurant Recommendation
Restaurant Recommendation
Across the street from the Art museum (South side) is Marvin's Gardens (kind of like the Monopoly game).
It's an old kind of run down place, but has good food and waitresses that are career girls.
Usually Marvin, the owner, is around to greet folks. He's a good old boy.
There are locals who are the regulars. We usually eat there when we visit museum.

March meeting?
March meeting?
March 25, 2007 - 44th Semi-annual Camera and Photographica Show presented by The Western Photographic Historical Society. Inn Suites Hotel 475 N. Granada, Tucson, Arizona, USA. Website: www.wphsociety.org/camerashow.htm
How does Tucson sound for a March meeting? I atended the show last year, it was great, lots of folks, lots of gear, the food nearby was good, very pleasant experience.

How about combining a superb location - Tucson 4th Ave street fair (March 23-25) - with a visit to the photo show listed above?

There are two of us in Bisbee, Arizona that I'm aware of. If you city folks care to weekend up here in the mountains this summer, we would guide you for cool shooting spots.
