Perceptol

Nokton48: what are you using for replenisher for your Mic X? Thanks,Daryl

Daryl,

See the Kodak info here:

http://www.blende7.at/datenblaetter/kodak pdf/microdol.pdf

I simply have substituted Freesyle Legacy Mic-X for the Microdol-X powder.
Scan to the section that talks about Mic-X replenishment.
In a nutshell, you use less water, and add Sodium Carbonate, to make the replenisher.

And it works very well for me. Also it seems to last forever.

Nice work Simon! I see you went the "Erik's way" :)
...and guess what the mailman just delivered to me...a box full of T-MAX 400 and Perceptol :) !! I tried this combo 2 years ago inspired by Erik and decided to give it another go.

Many thanks Giulio!

Yes I went Erik's way just over a year ago and I'm getting good consistent results that I'm pleased with :)

Looking forwards to seeing your results now!

Ciao

Shot on Tmax 100 and developed in Perceptol 1+3 today.
Shot with a home-built 4x5 inch camera with a 1880s barrel lens without a shutter. Just cover the lens with my hand, draw the dark slide, expose for 5 seconds and cover the lens with hand again before replacing the slide. Works perfectly as long as the light is low ;) .

Yes same method Erik, I find the results very consistent and pleasing. The 50mm Summilux v1 is a great lens also, really nice on the M5!

Erik, you need to get over this. It is misleading, totally unproven and actually fabricated by you and you only... It's getting really boring I'm afraid.

I hope this means the moderator stepped in. As anyone who frequents this site knows Erik is a consistent, friendly and helpful contributor. Let's keep this space working in that spirit. Not sure why camera gear and techniques gets people so worked up...
this is intended as a cooperative and usually works that way....

Yes, I have to explain this behaviour of me. This has to do with member Flat Twin. For unknown reasons he is insulting me in this thread and in another. For that reason I decided to withdraw me from this thread (and another).

For many years I helped member Flat Twin with advice, but for some reason he now is making me black. I think it is because my opinions about the Summilux 35mm f/1.4 steel rim. Apparently he does not like these opinions of me.

Erik.

I open my RFF looking forward to your photographs.
The framing, the moments and technique all perfect.
