Is it permissible to ask a question about DSLRs on this forum? I don't want to start a discussion; I'm after information, only.
Thank you.

I cannt speak for the other 60k members, but IMO, anything related to photography is OK

I think it is perfectly fine...

Same here. I don't know as much about DSLRs as about real cameras, but what little I know, I'm willing to share. Willing to learn, too.

I don't see any problem with it.
I have moved the thread to the Non RF section though.

We're waiting on baited breath, whatever that means.

I think it should be "bated "breath, and I believe it means with shortened or lessened breath, 'bated being a short form of "abated".
We are sooooo past the whole digital imaging isn't photography thing. Go ahead, ask away.

That's really me
In the right sub-section anything goes. As long as its not about which dslr has the quietest shutter.

Such questions are handled on a case-by-case, bated breath basis..

Warning, warning. This could be hazardous to you health/wallet/personal relationships/status/how you are perceived by your friends/family/workmates.
You could en up like me, starting off with digital stuff when I first started hanging out here, and now shooting mostly film for my own pleasure. Digital now used more or less to satisfy my family and friends (commemorations, birthday parties, holidays etc).
But go ahead. The Evil SLR forum is well suited for this sort of thing. SLR's are already deemed Evil, digital doesn´t make much of a difference.

Even though I don't use my rangefinder anymore, RFF's membership is still a great place to ask anything about photography and cameras. I think a high proportion of members use SLR's, Dslr's, p&s's etc anyway. It's the only forum I've stuck with and there is always someone who can help.
It's not all good though as it can create GAS attacks!!!!!

This waiting is awful, I'm on pins and needles.
Pfreddee, we're only joking here, it's what we do from time to time, c'mon, join in.

Sure, but the original owner of this joint started a DSLR specific forum, which nobody really visits. So, here's the link. I'll be glad to read your DSLR stuff on whichever forum you choose...
