thank's Peter. Interesting thought. But then again the V sign is just as wide spread in pretty much any other Asian country. Haven't been in Japan for 2 years now, but it seemed to me that for years a portrait / selfie of any female below the age of 30 without the 'V' used to be unthinkable, it came as a natural reflex 😉
