The "scan" was made using the iPad mini and a scanner app of the print positive. Basically, the scanner app allows you to frame and capture the image, then 'undistort' it, and save it to the Photo Library. Once there, I did a little editing and cleanup with SnapSeed, and used Photogene to add IPTC annotation before uploading it to Flickr.

I'll do a high-rez scan of the print positive later.

i see. the picture here is quite convincing.
from my own experience, i know that the fuji FP films (both colour and B&W) are more on the low resolution side, but i also noticed, that the B&W negative gives a better tonal separation. honestly, i believed you had scanned the negative ...

thanks for posting this. I like the "soft" tonality of FP3000B (disclaimer: I've only ever looked at samples here on RFF, having never seen an original) - in comparison this has a more grainy, edgier look that I don't normally associate with this film. I'll be interested to see the high-rez scan of the original print.

Do you think this accurately represents the original?

FP-3000B is not "soft" - it is a high contrast film that exhibits normal contrast in response to dim, flat light. This shot makes excellent use of that quality.

Yes. It seems a little fragile, but gets the job done.

I agree ... It doesn't look soft to me at all. The opposite in fact ... at least compared to Impossible Project B&W films, which indeed have a lovely softness to them.

I am traveling and only see it on my i.phone and it seems a good Photo with appropriate tones and contrast. I love the Fuji FP 3000 B!
