photo: driving the lamborghini (A7)

So I bought a Sony A7. It's so I can use my lovely old Leica R and Nikkor lenses on the format they were designed for. It's a little bit clunky looking, but it works well... ;-)

Kodachrome slide made with Nikon F or Olympus OM-1
slide digitized with:
Sony A7 + Micro-Nikkor 55mm f/3.5 + ES-1 slide stage​

I bought a Nikon F to NEX adapter, so of course the first thing I had to do was throw the Micro-Nikkor 55mm f/3.5 and ES-1 slide stage onto the Sony A7. I grabbed a slide out of a bag that I'd scanned already, set ISO 100, sat the rig on my desk, and let it run a 10 second exposure @ about f/8.

That's me driving my Lamborghini 350GT up Highway 684 in Yonkers, NY, sometime in Fall 1975. My friend Steve took the photo.

Really amused to find this ... I look so freekin' young!

well that set up works pretty well!

Hmm looks odd to me. Could be a problem with the front right side shock absorber 😀

Ah, those were some great days. When even 11 year old exotic cars were relatively cheap, and I was young enough to truly enjoy them. That old V12 made the most exquisite sounds. 🙂

Solidly into fatherhood, I know what you mean! Great image of a time gone by! I never spent any seat time in the 350 or the 400, but had a whirl at the follow-on Jarama. Years later, an LP5000S was in the garage -my four wheeled motorcycle! My thrill now is just getting the kids to school on time!
