i forgot to mention the 2 aluminum cases i got yesterday also.
a small one, kinda make-up case shaped and a slightly larger one, like a small suitcase.

i want to keep all my gear, bodies & lenses, in one case and all my filters, extra hoods etc in the smaller one.

on my way home from work today i stopped at 'foam king' and had them cut 2 pieces of hi density foam that were pre measured to fit perfectly, and they do fit just right.
now comes the hard part - configuring where the gear sits and then cutting the foam.

the clerk told me to either use 'pam' cooking spray or a sheet of 'bounce' fabric softener on the blade and it will glide right through.

not looking forward to the cutting but it will be cool when it's done and all my gear is resting comfortably and safely.

I've read this entire thread to here and only can drool with envy. I figured you'd be "bummed out" by finding only digital leftovers!

The aluminum cases are a great find and diitto on obtaining the hd-foam.

As Bob Vila used to say on "This Old House" remember to "measure twice; cut once."

Actually, I'd cut really small for each piece and then s..l...o...w....l......y cut out each "slice".

Enjoy.
