Hi, i friend of mine is going to new york and he would like to buy a contax t3.
Can you recommend a shop?

Thanks in advance.

There are three 'must see' photo shops in NYC.
B&H — for the scale of it. It's like a Walmart.
PhotoVillage — Leica and rangefinder showcase
Adorama — not sure what to say about Adorama, actually....

But, for a T3, i'd imagine you'd have to call around. I don't think you can assume that anyone would have one.

Fred, This is going back to 2001 but when I was down during 9/11, I remember a very nice, small shop located near a firehall. I know, lots of firehalls in Manhattan. This was midtownish maybe (?), think it was across from a diocese possibly. Had quite a nice collection of Leica iirc. South side of the street. Hope that rings a bell haha ;)

K&M camera

They have multiple T3's available in addition to almost all 'cult' film point and shoots, i.e.
Contax T2, Ricoh GR1/S/V, Nikon 28/35T's, Yashica T4/T5, etc. etc. etc. They also have MANY used LEICA M/SLRfilm bodies, NIKON, CANON, MINOLTA, MAMIYA, OLYMPUS, PENTAX, you name it, they probably have it. Do not go by their website for used inventory they don't list it. You or your friend should go check them out in person. They have a TON of used gear it's Unreal. I've been going to Adorama, BH, Photovillage for over 15 years and have recently checked out K&M at the long overdue request of friends and if im not mistaken, they have the most extensive used inventory, by far. With the exception of photovillage that specialize in LEICA. IMO they're one of the few remaining used camera 'mom and pop' stores in NYC. Underrated as well.
*I do not work for (nor am i affiliated with) them in any way.
