Came across this blog post with a list of working photographers talking about why they still shoot film. About why they shoot film, their work flow, and their preferences and thoughts about the qualities of film.
Thought it might be of interest.

Hello.
Wow, I love Chad Holder’s work. His work inspires me a lot. Very refreshing to hear people out there are still shooting film.

Nice sharing, tensai!
It's the best article I've read on the subject.
Clear points show the present of film, and there's a richness when gathering together several points of view.
Exactly the experience I've had: at the large studio I worked for a couple of years ago, we used the digital Hasselblad just to impress customers who wanted to come and see the session... Just to make them say "this shot's perfect, let's go for the next scene". But ALL OF US preferred film and used it when they were not present... (And of course for personal shooting)
Nice workflow the one someone commented: scanning the high quality C41 print to send the optimum final digital file...
Film... What a sweet word!

I think it's nice to see these working photographers with such an extensive portfolio talking about what they love about film, but also to read when or where it is possible for them to shoot it and why.
I know photographers here in Japan still regularly like to shoot medium format film for fashion shoots. I hope we can continue to have both for a loong time..

We're all light!
Quite a lively, and eye-opening, exchange. Relatively little us-versus-them dogma, with interesting insights into individual, film-based workflows. And all these people are working pros, not merely armchair warriors ranting. On the digital-capture front, I found Simon Watson's comments about MF digital versus Canon's 5D Mk II especially intriguing!
BIG thanks for the lead on this, tensai!
