So... depending on where you are it is already or soon to be the New Year. Have you made any photo related resolutions and what are they? I resolve to spend more time scanning my backlog of HP5+ negatives.

I've got to get the vaccine and then get outside and shoot more film. I'm all ready to go. This next year is going to be the medium format year.

I also need to get vaccinated. In 2021 I need to use up my Polaroid film.
I hope that we stay healthy.

All of the above, and additionally:

#1- Get out and get away from the computer. Explore my own neighborhood more. I've lived here for decades and I spend more time than ever in a 5-block radius, but I should pay attention to little things.

#2- Change up my subjects and experiment. Most of last year was selling old work, doing architectural documentation, and a steady diet of headshots and events. I've been meaning to explore macro and still life more. I have a studio now and I may as well use it for something other than laying out my piles of film. As attempting to photograph urban life has grown more stressful, I've taken an interest in photographing plant life. On the technical side, been in a groove with Delta 100/Xtol for the last couple years, and now I have all the time in the world to experiment with different film and chemistry. Bought my first box of Velvia in a decade. Need to shoot it.

#3- related to the above: explore the seasons at Kubota Garden. I flipped through Spirited Stone at the publisher's shop not long ago and was sadly reminded how little time I spend in this peaceful place in my corner of town.

#4- Finally get around to working on, and ideally saying I'm 'finished' with, a couple documentation projects I've started or been kicking around. With galleries mostly closed and a dearth of clients, I finally have time to put together some books...

'Shoot more' seems obvious, but true. I'm also going through and scanning negs from nearly 2 decades ago. Then, I used to photograph everything in my day-to-day life as I was learning my way through film. After studying photography at college, doing this full-time, and then grad school, I tapered that off, trying to enjoy the moment rather than document it (and broaden my life beyond photography). And now looking through my phone photos from the last few years, there's not much to show. I'd like to record more of my life, more of my family and friends, on film and paper.

1) Sell off a bunch of gear.

2) Shoot more film.

3) Focus more on panoramic images. (Film and digital)

My main goals for 2021 are:

1. Set up a darkroom in the garage and make some wet prints

2. Complete 2-3 photo projects

3. Print a book or 'zine

4. Shoot a roll of 135 film per week by the end of 2021

Make more prints - especially from negatives I haven’t looked at in 40+ years.

Have more framed photos on the wall or other places at home so that I can appreciate what I’ve photographed.

1. More medium format.
2. Shoot my film before expired.
3. Return to shooting only raw digital again, despite enormous Monochrom files.
4. Shoot more selectively with digital (see 3. above)
5. No new gear this year.

No real hard resolution but I'm hoping to shoot more B&W film...I rolled some Plus-X tonight, I found a 100' roll in my closet I forgot I had, bought it expired (1981) price tag said $6.00...tested a few short rolls so far it looks good...
Looking to use these two a lot more...
Bonus find in the closet...all 100' rolls...APX 100, two Arista 400, two Ilford Pan F and a roll of 400TX...
I should be good for a bit...and that doesn't include the rolls of Legacy film in the freezer...
