Nikonian!
Hi guys
I'm thinking about starting to make some shirt's, baseball caps and posters with a photography theme.
I currently own some "dodge and burn" t-shirts and I continuously get compliments about them, and questions as to where to buy them.
Since I'm in Ecuador, and considering the current import laws, it's impossible to get shirt from anywhere outside Ecuador.
Now I'm studying graphic design so I have a pretty good knowledge on how to make my own designs, but am really fascinated by the old school technical drawing often found in old manuals etc.
Another thing worth mentioning is piracy here in Ecuador. Movies, books etc get copied here like crazy. The president here allows it, as long as there's nobody pirating the national movies and books, so copyright is a strange thing here.
Would it be right copying old mechanical drawings, lens exploded view diagrams etc and putting them on t-shirts? Ofcourse I'll be doing my own designs, but they'll always be based on something already existing?
