Photography on a Budget

I started on the path of inexpensive camera gear with a Minolta X-700, MD Rokkor-X 50/1.7, Albinar 28/2.8 Macro, and Sigma 70-210, all for $10.00. Shot the heck out of that, and built up the outfit until Canon FD stuff caught my attention. I only bought on the cheap, living on a tight budget, and all. Then a friend gave me a couple of Olympus bodies and one lens, and it was off to the races to see what I could find. And a whole bunch of $2 specials in P&S to fiddle with. All of this was stuff I couldn't afford when I was much younger.

I'm over all that now, as it took me away from my Nikons. And spending money on lots of "cheap" gear left little to nothing in the budget for actually taking photos (film, developing, scanning).

In the process of getting ready to sell a lot of it. Someone might as well get some use from things I don't have the time or money to spend on anymore.

I recently bought a Rolleicord V with a Rollei hood and case all in excellent condition for $50. It didn't even need a shutter CLA.

Another purchase was a very nice Horizont 202 that works perfect and looks very good for $25.

Another was a mint Nikon FE for $39, a Nikkor Micro f3.5 AI, Nikkor 70-200 f4.5 AI, 500 f8 Nikkor all near mint for $35 each.
