Given the nature of this forum, I'll second bluesun267's recommendation for Analog Insights:

The host is very calm, rational and thorough--a wondrous antidote to some of the all too hype-y channels. Very informative--and relaxing!

I subscribe to Three Blind Men and an Elephant Productions. If I can only program his voice into one of the AI assistants.

The Big Negative - Film Photography Channel
Here is another one, mostly film but some good videos on digital and X film simulations.

I had missed the post from Out to Lunch and accidentally found the same channel.
I think it should be in this thread.
Here are some more that I have found along the way
Photography without Words: Shooting Iceland on film. Very meditative...
William Sheepsking: Young Australian with a good eye.
Imitative Photography: This guy tries to recreate the looks from different photographers. Some are very good: Karlovac, Tatarenko, Book of Veles..
A very interesting channel containing a range of photo compilations of the 'old masters' and contemporary photographers. The accompanying music is first-rate.

You tube as we know can be a mixed bag, and not just for photography, there are some real gems out there and there is some flotsam too, mind you if I'm buying a particular bit of kit I watch it all, warts and all, Ive lost far too many hours on you tube, its a worm hole.

Most YT (YouTube) photo-oriented productions are too painful for me to watch. Or at least they were during the Covid lockdowns when I spent more time watching them.
Sadly, far too many are badly produced, with a fair few commentators desperately in need of being taught the most basic skills of presentation. They yap-yao-yap endlessly about cameras and what they think of this and that feature. Few if any breaks to show sample images or close-ups of the relevant areas of the camera being reviewed. It's all enough to fry the brain.
I tune out after a few minutes, think "please, please, do something other than opening your mouth, give us a break!" and eventually log off.
Of course it may be that I'm taking it all much too seriously...
So many here think Eric Kim is the pits. Admittedly he has his low points, and far too many of those, but I do find him amusing in a Ken Rockwell way, if not quite as intelligent at researching his data before presenting it on YT. I did go off Eric when his lifestyle took some fairly strange turns. Now I really must go and see how he is faring in the sanity league.
For my complaints, there are a few good ones out there. I've really not watched much YT of late other than now and then an old movies, but of late I'm returning to the network. So it may be that YT has moved on and a few producers are actually now more clues than they were, or new ones with more savvy have popped up. I hope so. our world is crazy enough as it is without YT to make it even more insane.
