I am going on vacation this week on the north Washington coast and will be visiting Vancouver at least one day. Can anyone recommend any good photo shops? I am looking for film that is not available in the US such as Neopan 400cn.

I think that the one that might carry the broader selection is:
http://www.beauphoto.com/frames/beaufrm.html
Note that they are open during weed-days only.
Enjoy your stay, there is a lot of opportunity for good photography.
Cheers,
Luc

I don't think Neopan 400cn is available in Canada either.
Beau Photo, Leo's Camera Supply and Custom Color all have a good selection of film.

Beau Photo on granville and 6th will have anything you need. Leo's downtown will rip you off shamelessly, and if you dont mind slightly out of the way, LensandShutter broadway and macdonald have a good selection of film and service at a good price. Also ABC Photo on 4th Ave is the cheapest place to buy film just don't get them to process it, if you are not into scratched negs.
This information is valid only if you are going to Vancouver BC and not Vancouver Washington.

Just to clarify...lbenac means to say that they are only open during the week. Saturday and Sunday are weed days. I wondered how soon BC Bud would infiltrate RFf. hahaha

I've only shopped at Leos on one trip and found good bargains and prices on used stuff there. Beau is THE store for professionals however and where most of my friends shop, I never made it there as I ran out of time.

Second Beau and Leo's. Beau being closed on the weekends makes it difficult for the working "amateur" to get down there. But as Hibbs mentioned they are the store for THE professionals. They don't have price stickers on products, but a very arcane system where you need to ask them for the price or a price list.
ABC's never scratched my negs. Really?

also do not forget the LAB on 4th and main.
Excellent developing and printing services.
I never got scratched negs from ABC either, but only time i use them i use the pro account holders desk. they pay extra attention!

Thanks for all the replies. Unfortunately I had to cut the vacation short due to the weather. The family was supposed to meet me at Birch Bay, but had a fenderbender before they left. I'll check out the photo stores next time I am in Vancouver.
