Photography Tumblrs?

It's weird. I have been saving JPGs collected from various sources on the web for a long, long time. I finally decided to do the Tumblr thing a few months ago. I really just love looking at the collection in this form. The way the images look next to and adjacent to each other, the way they flow.... It's the graphic designer in me.... I get a bit anal about the arrangements, too. There's a not so small thrill when the page comes together just so.

And, at the same time, i realize it's all just a digital version of a high school girl's bedroom wall....

I like seeing that style of tumblr as a sort of personal curated inspiration journal. They're so good for taking up few minutes each day - gets my mind flowing well in the morning... http://certiorari.tumblr.com/ is my current favorite. I'll be following yours too.

A "curated inspiration journal!" Yeah, yeah- that's the ticket! A bit of a euphemism, but i'll take it.

One thing that bothers me about certain tumblrs (like the jrsrules): the images aren't always active links - either to larger versions or to the sources/references. I hate seeing something i love or want without a way to access more information....
 
I decided to re-boot my tumblr blog (is that considered a new year's resolution?).

Still unsure about the theme. I like simple, uncluttered themes. Any suggestions welcome (there are so many themes in there I get lost in the search!)

Paul - I have been there for a couple of years now. Good fun, easy posting, never had any hassle. But, I do tend to get asked a lot of stuff from the younger Tumblrs who are interested in film, developing etc. It is good to see so many of them really in to film.

It's a great community. Give it a try.......
 
New Years Resolution 2012: don't procrastinate, soup and scan more often!

Started a tumblr because of this thread. Hopefully I'll get off my arse and post more here and on tumblr.
