Anyone using this stuff? I've used Ilford's Ilfostop... which is fine, but thought on ordering some other stuff from PF that I'd give it a shot. Powder... which I can deal with, but that ain't the issue. The issue is the instructions... which see a bit obtuse (or maybe I am). "Use like any other Stop". Well... sure, use ain't the issue. The issue is prep for usage: with other Stop's, I dilute at the time of use and toss afterwards. Given their mixing formulation, I'm not seeing how this actually Stops 20 rolls UNLESS it's re-used. No dilution from the mixed formula is given based on tank sizes, so I'm assuming we just use this stuff like a Fixer that's good for 20 or 30 rolls before tossing. I've put a note into "Bud" on this, but their summer hours seem to run a bit lean, so thought I'd check with the group. Am I nuts, or what?:bang:

According to the instructions, you mix up a litre (or 10) and then rinse 29 rolls of either 35mm or 120 film with it, full strength. 20 8x10 prints if using it for paper. So, yes, you re-use it.

I've always used an indicator stop bath (like Kodak's), which you can re-use until it starts to turn purple (the "indicator"). Mostly, though, I toss it after about 20 rolls in a litre of the stuff.

Chuck: Thanks! That's what it seemed like, but just hadn't experienced it, and folks here told me to toss Stop Bath like a one-use developer... and so I have. Great to know what to do. Thanks!
